About The Position

CALNET, Inc., a growing consulting firm in Technology, Intelligence Analysis, and Language Services, is seeking a Senior System Administrator with Top Secret/SCI Clearance to work onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial for a Prime Government Contractor supporting a major government institution, focusing on the administration, maintenance, and security of the JWICS environment.

Requirements

CompTIA Security+, CCNA, RHCSA, MCSA or any IAT Level II cert
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Management, or a related field; or experience equal to.
US Citizen
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Minimum 5+ years of relevant IT experience in an enterprise environment.
Proven hands-on skills in network and system administration, troubleshooting, COMSEC, and customer support within a secure environment.

Responsibilities

Perform daily system administration tasks on Windows and/or Linux servers, including user account management, patching, and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
Provide direct support to end-users for technical issues, including VTC setup and troubleshooting, account resets, and software support.
Escalate complex issues to senior specialists or external vendors as needed.
Monitor security logs, respond to alerts, and assist with incident response and remediation activities.
Ensure systems are backed up and that disaster recovery plans are tested.
Provide skilled technical support across all performance areas as assigned by the Team Lead, adapting to emerging technologies and requirements.
