This position will allow an IT Professional to have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplined role as part of a cross-site team administrating two computer networks. This position will provide opportunities to manage servers, network appliances, virtual infrastructure, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and provide advanced level user support. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Network administration experience
  • Experience administrating VMware
  • Experience administrating a Microsoft client/server network
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration experience
  • Understanding of NR cybersecurity policies and requirements
  • Experience providing end-user support
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
  • All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage network infrastructure
  • Perform hardware upgrades following an obsolescence management plan
  • Follow NR cybersecurity polices and author CSCRs as necessary
  • Lead IT projects that will benefit the NR Electrical Community
