About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our Henderson and Reno, Nevada Surveying and Geodesy Group. Your role involves the coordination of field surveying activities between the field and the office. You will research or direct the research of legal records to identify previous boundaries. You will prepare or supervise the preparation of survey drawings, plats, maps and reports, including ALTA surveys. You will produce and/or correct topographic survey drawings, traverse and level network adjustments. You will write legal descriptions. You will utilize CAD software to produce or adjust survey drawings, plats and parcel maps. You will recommend solutions to resolve deed conflicts, field problems and geometric errors and discrepancies. You will coordinate field work with the survey crew and others, as required. You may occasionally travel to field sites and perform field work, as required by project. You will perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years related experience OR an associate's degree in a related technical field plus ten years related experience OR high school diploma (or equivalent) plus twelve years related experience is required.
  • Good technical writing, computer and communication skills.
  • Strong math and trigonometry computation skills.
  • Technical writing, communication skills, and analytical ability.
  • Good knowledge of CAD and survey software.
  • Basic knowledge of GPS.
  • Must be familiar with industry standard database software.
  • RLS/PLS Required.

Responsibilities
