Requirements

8 years of field survey experience and at least 5 years of experience as a Party Chief, or equivalent knowledge.
Strong understanding of Survey and Mapping specifications and standards.
Proficient with data collectors, data collection techniques and coding, robotic instruments, conventional field note-keeping, total stations and leveling.
Knowledge of proper GPS control methods and techniques.
Well-versed in boundary surveys and a thorough understanding of the pertinent physical and possession evidence to be documented and collected in the field.
Experience with or ability to learn 3D scanning.
Must be a self-starter, with little need for supervision once provided with a work assignment.
Must be able to work in inclement weather.
Willingness to travel.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record required. MVR will be checked and monitored.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Requires a pre-employment drug screen and will require ongoing participation in the employer's random drug and alcohol testing program.

Nice To Haves

Enrollment in or completed survey related coursework preferred.
LSIT preferred.
FAA 107 drone license preferred.

Responsibilities

Function on a team and at times independently to complete field missions.
Complete a diverse range of survey projects including but not limited to: ROW/Easement surveys; utility surveys; 3D scanning; horizontal and vertical control surveys; construction layout; topographic surveys; aerial ground control surveys; Boundary and ALTA surveys for residential, commercial and government projects.
