About The Position
The Senior Surgical Technologist provides advanced technical assistance to the surgical team before, during, and following surgery. Under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses, the technologist expertly assists with surgical operations to support the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. The role helps ensure the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Requirements
- Five years of related experience in surgical technology.
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Must have and maintain certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical assistance to the surgical team before, during, and following surgery.
- Assist surgeons and registered nurses with surgical operations.
- Help ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly.
