About The Position

The Senior Supply Chain Quality Engineer will support various projects located in Sunnyvale, CA. This position is focused primarily on Supply Chain Quality Engineering. The role involves applying quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and research and development for both make and buy products. Responsibilities include performing technical evaluations, collaborating with various departments and customers on quality issues, engaging in product failure investigations and corrective actions, developing strategies to improve supplier performance, evaluating quality systems, designing inspection and testing processes, and participating in supplier selection and certification programs.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one; must be a US citizen.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have 3+ years of recent and related work experience.
  • Familiar with Procure-to-Pay or SAP.
  • Experience in one of the following disciplines: Quality Engineering, Systems Engineering, Materials Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
  • Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Application of quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
  • Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
  • Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
  • Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
  • Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
