About The Position

Responsible for performing a variety of asset management, inventory, and reporting duties to ensure Parkland assets are tracked through the entire cradle-to-grave process. This role involves expediting and coordinating product deliveries, maintaining an asset expediting database, and resolving pre-delivery issues with product or purchase orders. The technician will verify product contents against packing slips, ensure proper documentation, and coordinate asset movement with various departments. A key responsibility is maintaining and updating the asset management system for tracking assets, including identification tagging, location, and physical counts. The role also includes providing cross-training, overseeing the work of the Asset Management Technician I, and completing performance indicator reporting. Additionally, the position involves identifying process improvements, staying updated on industry trends, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of supply chain experience.
  • Two (2) years of asset management or inventory control experience.
  • Experience using barcode or RFID hand scanners.
  • Automated inventory management experience.
  • Proficiency in operating a PC.
  • Proficiency in applications such as Lawson, Asset Management systems and Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
  • Texas Driver's License Class C required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Expediting and coordinating product deliveries to Parkland.
  • Maintaining an asset expediting database for identified inbound product.
  • Coordinating delivery, testing, inspection, assembly, and trade-ins with end users and intermediate departments.
  • Working closely with Purchasing and Contracts to resolve pre-delivery issues with product or purchase orders (PO).
  • Assisting the Asset Supervisor in assigning usage of dock bays for inbound deliveries.
  • Verifying all products moving through the receiving area.
  • Verifying contents of packages against packing slips and ensuring product has proper documentation (PO #) prior to receipt in ERP and asset management systems.
  • Ensuring products received accurately reflect the products ordered.
  • Working with Clinical Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, and other departments to ensure assets are moved to testing areas prior to distribution and are staged in proper areas.
  • Coordinating, updating, and maintaining the asset management system to track new and existing capital and non-capital assets including asset identification tagging, location identification, and physical count.
  • Maintaining accurate records on all new purchases and existing assets.
  • Providing cross-training to relevant staff in relation to asset processes and procedures as required.
  • Overseeing the work of the Asset Management Technician I as required.
  • Completing daily/weekly/monthly documentation and reporting of Key Performance Indicators for all assigned activities.
  • Performing other duties or participating in special projects as assigned, including leading projects, assisting customers and co-workers as needed or requested by leadership.
  • Identifying ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Making recommendations to supervisor, implementing, and monitoring results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
  • Staying abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure.
  • Integrating knowledge gained into current work practices.
  • Maintaining knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the area.
  • Developing effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans.
  • Seeking advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
