About The Position

Responsible for supporting the contracting and value validation processes in the Materials Management organization with regard to financial analysis, reporting, and measuring of data/statistics. The position will provide appropriate consultative services via written and verbal communications and financial analysis. Manages and performs data analysis for assigned spend categories and business processes. Assists with review and preparation of analytics related to contract management including off-contract spend, item usage, and compliance. Prepares required communications and reports related to day to day functions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree, preferably in business, logistics, finance or healthcare related field.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience.
  • Superior analytical skills with ability to structure and perform data analysis.
  • Advanced understanding of Windows O/S, Office to include Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point.
  • Experience understanding data being managed, and its implications to other systems, processes, and applications.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated and work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build strong relationships with diverse people at various levels by building trust and credibility using the right level of detail and cultural sensitivity.
  • Active listening skills to understand business needs and steer business team to take decisions that have enterprise-wide impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare, supply chain management and/or similar data analyst experience is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing our current supply chain management system or other ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations and support Materials Management and leadership by interpreting data concerning financial trends and economic and business forecast using financial analysis, reporting, and measuring of data/statistics.
  • Develop tools to support, tracking and reporting of performance metrics for facility supply expense improvement initiatives.
  • Upload utilized GPO and local contracts as requested or required.
  • Consult and collaborate with key departments and advise Health System personnel regarding individualized contract impact by serving as an information resource on related matters.
  • Contributes to up-to-date GPO rosters, boarding requirements and licensures for all entities.
  • Assist in development of internal controls and validation of supply chain rebates; analysis and evaluation of requests for Proposals (RFPs), quotes, bids and reverse auction contracting strategies.
  • Assist in the development of project management plans and assist in managing and reporting on progress.
  • Work with other materials management areas (procurement, supply and distribution, implementation, master data, etc.) in everyday functions.
