The Senior Supplier Strategy Manager will manage a portfolio of supplier sourcing and contractual engagements and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role will develop and implement short- and long-term supplier partnership strategies to support MSD’s business, operational, and engineering needs. Responsibilities include end-to-end supplier strategy, negotiations and contracting, supplier management, and compliance in collaboration with assigned internal partners. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 3+ years experience in data science/analytics, finance, project management, supply chain, and/or operation OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 4+ years experience in data science/analytics, finance, project management, supply chain, and/or operations OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term sourcing strategies for complex global categories by assessing supplier pricing, costs, capabilities, and capacity.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support decisions aligned with global strategy, technical roadmaps, business requirements, risk considerations, investments, supplier dynamics, and technology partnerships.
  • Lead strategic supplier selection by translating business requirements into requests for information and requests for proposals, defining evaluation criteria, conducting negotiations, and developing agreements and statements of work.
  • Coordinate across organizations to establish governance practices and support compliance with applicable best practices and Microsoft policies.
  • Manage internal and external expectations, performance goals, and contractual commitments through monthly or quarterly business reviews and escalation processes.
  • Use Microsoft technologies, including Copilot and other Microsoft applications, to support business outcomes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with stakeholders and leaders across IT engineering, technical services, software, software as a service, networking, and hardware portfolios.
  • Define business and operational objectives and support teams in achieving or modernizing them.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support customer-focused decision-making.
  • Prepare clear written and verbal communications for executive and stakeholder audiences and apply analytical methods to inform recommendations and decisions.
