About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supplier Quality Manager to join our team in Mesa, AZ, supporting the our site in Mesa, AZ! This role focuses on servant leadership with a strong people focus and a passion for culture transformation. It involves cohesive partnering and integration with the supply base, key program business partners, and first-line leaders. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, recognizing and implementing opportunities to bring preventative best practices to the supply base, developing data-driven initiatives aimed at reducing quality-related disruptions, and fostering a culture that embraces Boeing Behaviors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, business or technical field
  • More than 5 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • More than 5 years of experience managing or leading people or teams
  • More than 3 years of experience working in the aerospace industry
  • More than 3 years of experience with communication and presenting strategies at executive/VP levels
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience working as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer
  • More than 1 year interfacing directly with suppliers
  • Experience working with Boeing Supply Chain tools and processes
  • 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001))
  • Lean Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers' production and quality systems, special processes, products and services meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve supplier performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
