In the role of Supplier Quality Manager – Mechanical, you will lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers responsible for all components within the Mechanical Center of Excellence. This includes areas such as Drives, Bearings, Hardware, and Tooling. You will lead Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) strategies based on Advance Quality Planning Principles (APQP) to support New Product Introduction and alternative source development. You will foster strong partnerships with Engineering and Sourcing PM&O counterparts for concurrent product and process development within the APQP framework, aligned with the NPI integrated schedule. Additionally, you will develop Supplier Surveillance strategies, including audit plans for Mechanical CoE suppliers, ensuring compliance with QMS requirements, risk mitigation, and underwriting expectations. You will drive Root Cause Analysis investigations, supporting the Fleet Performance Management team and ensuring suppliers follow an effective 8D methodology. You will own accountability for Key Performance Indicators and Targets to Improve for the Mechanical SQ Bowler, set priorities for the Mechanical Supplier Quality Engineers, and drive People Performance & Growth cycles to promote talent, growth, and accountability within the Supplier Quality Organization.
