About The Position

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer drives quality for assigned suppliers, including implementing quality plans for structural casting suppliers. The role selects suppliers through qualification processes, owns supplier results, drives improvement using supplier scorecards, conducts supplier audits, ensures compliance, and develops improvement plans when needed. It requires in-depth knowledge of quality management best practices and working knowledge of competition and market differentiators. The role manages supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring; drives root cause and corrective action across suppliers; and identifies process improvements that improve first-time yield and delivery. It collaborates with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability and producibility, identifies quality-system gaps, balances tactical execution with strategic cost-reduction initiatives, and presents product and program strategies, roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders. It also serves as a resource for less experienced colleagues and uses technical expertise for data analysis and recommendations. This is a remote position. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information, so employment is contingent on demonstrating qualifying U.S. Person status. Relocation assistance is not provided.
