About The Position

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you will be responsible for ensuring that parts, materials, or products provided by suppliers meet quality standards. You will collaborate with suppliers, external manufacturing partners, quality, and engineering teams to prevent defects, improve processes, and reduce risk in the supply chain. The ideal candidate will leverage a deep understanding of product applications and environments to strategically apply technical knowledge and methodologies to reduce defects and drive quality improvement at suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is preferred.
  • Related work experience is.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supplier quality engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in quality management concepts, tools, and methods (FMEA, DOE, MSA, GRR, 8D, etc.).
  • Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAP or equivalent part approval processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and the ability to identify critical control points.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control software such as SAA, Minitab, and JMP, along with advanced Excel skills for data organization and analysis.
  • Strong communicative, quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable business decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • CQE and Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred (must demonstrate deep core knowledge).
  • Certified or previously certified ISO 9001 or AS9100 auditor preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary day-to-day quality contact for assigned contract manufacturers (CMs) or suppliers.
  • Execute and manage quality activities to ensure manufacturing compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., supplier audits).
  • Provide periodic performance updates through dashboards and KPIs.
  • Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and verify effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Partner closely with supply chain, engineering, and external manufacturing teams to evaluate and qualify new suppliers.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
