About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Site Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Quality Team located in Kennedy Space Center. This role advises others in the preparation of significant bids and proposals, authors Quality plans for major programs, and advises suppliers and business partners in the development of their Quality plans to ensure the flowdown of requirements. The position also consults at the business unit level to develop Quality criteria for supplier selection, oversees the development of methods, procedures, and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices for large programs and derivatives, and leads verification reviews to ensure adequate surveillance to validate product and process Quality requirements. Additionally, the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer develops new methods for conducting product and process validation, represents Quality in design reviews of the inter-relationship of multiple systems, and advises on the development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, equipment, and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. The role performs benchmarking of enterprise best practices, leads cross-functional continuous Quality improvement efforts, and develops new applications for advanced statistical methods. The position works under consultative direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • More than 10 years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
  • More than 10 years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • More than 10 years of experience working with supplier quality processes
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
