Senior Supervisor, Production 1st Shift (Onsite)
About The Position
The Senior Supervisor, Production is responsible for leading a high-performing assembly organization that manufactures complex military and defense products in a fast-paced, low-volume, low-mix production environment. This role provides direct leadership to approximately 30 assemblers/mechanics and several teams leads on 1st shift, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of daily operations while developing people and driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an energetic, hands-on leader who thrives on solving problems, developing talent, managing performance through metrics, and building strong partnerships across functions to achieve operational excellence. Success in this role requires balancing daily execution with long-term capability building while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and integrity. This role is onsite in Haltom City, Texas.
Requirements
- University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including supervision of production teams in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated success developing employees and frontline leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves
- Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting military or highly regulated products.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO quality systems, and defense manufacturing requirements.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance dashboards.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, SAP ERP, and Solumina MES.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned hourly workforce: (Time & attendance, time off, rewards, training, communications, etc.).
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 assemblers/mechanics and multiple team leads, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Build leadership capability within team leads through regular coaching, feedback, and development planning.
- Create an engaging work environment that promotes trust, collaboration, inclusion, and high morale.
- Recognize strong performance while addressing performance issues promptly, fairly, and consistently.
- Support workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and succession planning to ensure organizational capability.
- Lead daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
- Ensure effective execution of production schedules while balancing changing priorities and customer requirements.
- Drive disciplined daily management routines, including shift start / turn over / Tier meetings, visual management, and performance reviews.
- Be able to do other duties as assigned.
