About The Position

This position leads critical maintenance operations, drives safety excellence, and develops skilled team members while ensuring reliable plant performance. The role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency through preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
3 plus years of experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia Mechanical Refrigeration and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance and management is preferred.
Elementary computer skills; for example, checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.
Supervisory skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
Must reside in the United States to be considered.
Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy (on application date).
No written warning in the past six (6) months.
No suspension on record for the last 12 months.

Nice To Haves

Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.

Responsibilities

Planning and supervising the execution of cost-effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment.
Directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel.
Working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment.
Troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment.
Obtaining quotes for project work and preparing written project justifications.
Maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
Instructing in the use of personal protective equipment.
Implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility.
Maintaining compliance with Process Safety Management Standards.
Skill development of team members.
Coordinating team member schedules, handling time and attendance records, holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned.
