About The Position

This position leads critical maintenance operations, drives safety excellence, and develops skilled team members while ensuring reliable plant performance. The role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency through preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
  • 3 plus years of experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia Mechanical Refrigeration and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance and management is preferred.
  • Elementary computer skills; for example, checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.
  • Supervisory skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy (on application date).
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months.
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervising the execution of cost-effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment.
  • Directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel.
  • Working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment.
  • Obtaining quotes for project work and preparing written project justifications.
  • Maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
  • Instructing in the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility.
  • Maintaining compliance with Process Safety Management Standards.
  • Skill development of team members.
  • Coordinating team member schedules, handling time and attendance records, holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned.
