About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor will lead an area focused on the planning and execution of Receiving, Warehousing and Material Distribution operations for Raytheon Missile and Defense working onsite at the Tucson Airport Facility. Tasks to be performed will entail providing strong organizational management and labor relations experience. They will be required to manage all material distribution activities for the site and implement improvement opportunities, drive solutions, along with the ability to resolve conflict within a matrix organization. The candidate must think independently, communicate effectively, and provide leadership while working closely with other disciplines.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated people management/leadership skills.
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Clear understanding of hazardous materials classifications, specifically Class 1.
  • Obtain Certified Supply Chain Certificate within 1yr of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with workforce planning, track employee training, certify timecard and attendance management, create area layout and flow management.
  • Provide a safe work environment and actively lead and engage in safety improvements discussions.
  • Assign daily activities, conduct stand-up meetings, set priorities and review reports/metrics to locate problem areas and create solutions.
  • Assist with accountability of material from receipt to throughout processing period in a timely manner and assist with lost/frustrated material.
  • Coordinate overtime when required, and log/track hours in OTIS.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare RCAS analysis for logistics review boards.
  • Order supplies as required.
  • Execute cycle count and other inventory accuracy requirements to ensure 100% accountability.
