The Senior Superintendent is responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. This role involves developing and maintaining logistics, plans, and schedules for the overall job, managing the budget, and overseeing subcontractor scopes. The Senior Superintendent must be able to communicate the job plan in detail, delegate and correct work, and monitor labor cost reports. They will also manage the schedule, approve layoffs, assign work, and oversee field operations, including personnel and subcontractors. Quality control, safety plan development, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications, company quality, and safety standards are critical. The Senior Superintendent acts as the project's EEO and Affirmative Action representative, supervises Project Superintendents, and develops labor production budgets. They will interface with the Project Manager to resolve union jurisdictional disputes and maintain labor relations. The role involves reviewing quantities, take-offs, purchasing, and rental equipment, participating in coordination and safety meetings, and chairing finish trade coordination meetings. A thorough understanding of OSHA Safety requirements and ensuring compliance on the job site at all times is essential.
