The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects. This role involves preparing project schedules, maintaining accurate progress reports, and reviewing project status with the Project Manager and client representatives. For large projects, this role may oversee multiple Superintendents. A key aspect of this position is ensuring that safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by all personnel on site, including the safe condition and operation of tools and equipment. The Senior Superintendent also directs subcontractor activities, analyzes manpower and material requirements, and interfaces these with other project needs. They are responsible for implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures, and for preparing reports and forecasts to keep supervisors informed of progress.
