Requirements

  • 10-15 years as a commercial superintendent.
  • 7-10 years of experience as a commercial superintendent with Design-Build ground up experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
  • Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
  • Actively support and enforce GLC Safety Policies.
  • Proficiency in Procore.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Willingness to travel away and overnight.

Nice To Haves

  • Excel and Word experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient schedules and cost-effective plans that drive projects to successful completion.
  • Perform meticulous daily reporting and maintain logs.
  • Manage shop drawings.
  • Communicate performance and schedule issues to the Project Manager.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team, coordinating work activities of tradespeople and professionals for seamless execution.
  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold the highest quality.
  • Prepare thorough progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other crucial parties to ensure all specifications and regulations are met.
  • Adhere to GLC and OSHA safety protocols.
  • Manage change in the field and authorize necessary documentation to maintain project momentum and achieve client satisfaction.
