About The Position

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to join its large projects group in Dallas, Texas, working on landmark projects in the DFW market. The Senior Superintendent is responsible for all field operations and coordination of subcontractor work, including site safety and implementation of the Safety/Zero Harm program. The role supervises subcontractor and self-performed field construction work and shares responsibility with the Project Manager for developing the project budget, participating in preconstruction, and delivering the project on time, within budget, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Senior Superintendent also manages and mentors Assistant Superintendents and other field personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of commercial construction field experience.
• At least five years of direct supervisory experience related to subcontractor management.
• Previous or current commercial construction experience in a Superintendent role.
• Proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, including email, the internet, and Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Scheduling experience sequencing work using a software application.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations and coordinate subcontractor work.
• Implement the Safety/Zero Harm program for the job site.
• Supervise subcontractor and self-performed field construction work.
• Share responsibility with the Project Manager for developing the project budget.
• Actively participate in preconstruction services.
• Help ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures.
• Manage and mentor Assistant Superintendents and other field personnel.
• Perform responsibilities involving project financial management, project scheduling, project administration, operations and close-out, customer relations, and culture, leadership, and employee development.
