Supervision of the construction project resulting in successful project completion. This role involves enforcing safety procedures, attending safety training, verifying subcontractor certificates of insurance, preparing and maintaining CPM job schedules, developing Owner and Architect’s confidence, recruiting, organizing, training, directing, and coordinating the field construction team including subcontractor’s direct hire work. The Senior Superintendent will also assure work quality by setting standards for quality control, ordering materials and tools to avoid crisis buying, preparing necessary reports (e.g., time sheets, work orders, daily reports, and invoice approval), and documenting and completing all punchlists in a timely manner. Responsibilities include reviewing all drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals, chairing or attending pre-job conferences and regular subcontractor meetings, performing start-up testing and turnover to the Owner, and documenting final close-out and Owner’s acceptance. The role requires performing manual work only in rare circumstances when exigent circumstances require it, and the ability to travel as required by management, including the ability to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area. Other responsibilities will be assigned as needed.
