Supervision of the construction project resulting in successful project completion. This role involves enforcing safety procedures, managing the CPM job schedule, developing owner and architect confidence, and recruiting, organizing, training, directing, and coordinating the field construction team. The Senior Superintendent is responsible for assuring work quality, ordering materials and tools, preparing necessary reports, and documenting punchlists and final close-out. They will review drawings, specifications, and submittals, chair pre-job conferences and subcontractor meetings, and perform start-up testing and turnover to the owner. Manual work is only to be performed in rare, exigent circumstances. The role requires the ability to travel as required by management and to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area.
