Supervision of the construction project resulting in successful project completion. This role involves enforcing safety procedures, attending safety training, verifying subcontractor certificates of insurance, and preparing and maintaining the CPM job schedule. The Senior Superintendent will develop Owner and Architect's confidence, recruit, organize, train, direct, and coordinate the field construction team, including subcontractor's direct hire work. They will assure work quality by setting standards for quality control, ordering materials and tools to avoid "crisis" buying, and preparing necessary reports such as time sheets, work orders, daily reports, and invoice approvals. The position requires documenting and completing all punchlists in a timely manner, reviewing all drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals, and chairing or attending pre-job conferences and regular subcontractor meetings. Responsibilities also include performing start-up testing and turnover to the Owner, documenting final close-out and Owner’s acceptance, and performing manual work only in rare circumstances when exigent circumstances require it. The role may require travel as needed by management and the ability to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
