About The Position

The Senior Substation Project Engineer will manage large complex projects, perform engineering analyses, studies, and develop conceptual designs. This role involves leading, coaching, and directing technical employees and teams, acting as an engineering mentor, and assisting in finalizing contract project specifications and technical evaluations of bids. The engineer will also provide support to other departments on land, permitting, and legal issues, resolve complex problems using creative approaches, and independently plan work to meet objectives. Coordination with contractors, vendors, and public agencies, as well as problem-solving with clients and management, are key aspects of this position. Additionally, the role includes providing technical direction to less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US.
  • 8+ years of cumulative experience in electrical engineering and design.
  • Mastery of journey engineer job duties.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and lead team meetings.
  • Ability to interpret industry practices and codes.

Responsibilities
