About The Position

Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Subcontracts Administrator to join our rapidly growing Supply Chain team. In this role, you will execute and manage high dollar procurements with critical subcontractors in accordance with subcontractor Statements of Work (SOW). Experience with contract negotiations and navigating FAR and DFARS requirements is required. Responsibilities include: Reviewing, interpreting, and flowing mandatory requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk. Creating and managing Statements of Work and driving the SOW through final review and Engineer Technical Review (ETR) release. Issuing RFI and RFQ packages and ensuring receipt of complete information. Conducting flow down analysis to ensure compliance with customer requirements including FAR, DFARS, FAA, and international standards. Negotiating and managing supplier price, cost, schedule, and technical performance. Executing Subcontracts, Inter-divisional Work Transfer Agreements, NDAs, Leasing Agreements, and Long-Term Agreements. Writing contract letters and maintaining comprehensive legal records in accordance with US Government Certified Purchasing System Requirements. Supporting proposal costing efforts for subcontract material and labor. Supporting business units across multiple sites including international coordination. Managing supplier performance including the facilitation of Quarterly Business Reviews with critical suppliers. Assisting with metrics, reporting, continuous improvement, and other strategic initiatives as needed. Ability to travel 5 - 10% (typically 1 - 2 trips per year). Compensation Ranges: Syracuse, NY, Orlando, FL, or Grayling, MI: $78,900 - $98,600 Quincy, MA: $94,600 - $118,300 The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering) with 5+ years of experience, OR MBA/MS/JD with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience with USG, DoD, or FAA contracts.
  • Experience creating and managing Statements of Work (SOW) through Engineer Technical Review (ETR) release.
  • Knowledge of Government and commercial contracting methods and contract types.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving with the ability to apply sound judgment and creativity.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to assess cost reasonableness.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (CCCM, CFCM, CPCM) or advanced degree preferred.
  • Cross functional experience in Quality, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, or Program Management.
  • Continuous improvement experience including Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
