About The Position

RQ Construction is looking for a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering group in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will primarily focus on structural analysis, developing CAD models, and reviewing project drawings to ensure they meet safety standards and design requirements. You will also take on leadership responsibilities, including guiding project teams, managing budgets, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on track and aligned with quality expectations, all while contributing to the Mission, Vision, and Values of the company. RQ is a privately held, full-service design-build organization specializing in expedited commercial construction for the Department of Defense. Our engineers contribute to a wide range of impactful projects across the U.S. and internationally. Requirements

Master's degree in Structural Engineering (required)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (required)
15+ years of experience in structural design and project delivery, or equivalent within industrial construction projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA, Revit, Microsoft Office
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire
Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for)

Nice To Haves

Experience managing projects for the Department of Defense is preferred
