The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of structures to ensure they are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective. This includes buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure. The Structural Engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in structural engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Proficiency in structural analysis software and other engineering design tools.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.

Nice To Haves

A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Perform calculations to ensure structures can withstand various loads and forces and stamp our own drawings
Analyze building materials for strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Work with design engineers to produce standard designs
Be the single point of contact for all design engineers sending work out to multiple structural consultants.
Manage the work load to structural consultants with quickest turnaround in mind
Participate in meetings with structural consultants to ensure that they have all necessary inputs and produce a high-quality stamped drawing
Manage project timelines and budgets relative to structural analysis
Support questions coming from construction site related to structural analysis
Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
Identify and resolve design and construction issues.
Provide technical advice and support during construction phases.
Prepare and present reports, proposals, and other documentation.
Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
Coaching new engineers in making cost effective and easy to manufacture designs
