Requirements

  • Illinois Structural Engineer (SE) License — REQUIRED
  • 6–8+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design
  • Experience supporting commercial, residential, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, or similar building projects
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices
  • U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one additional state preferred
  • Strong communication and client-facing coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Experience working within collaborative, team-oriented environments
  • Exposure to sustainable design or LEED-related projects is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural engineering design and analysis for building projects of varying size and complexity
  • Develop structural calculations, technical reports, design documentation, and construction drawings
  • Coordinate with architects, developers, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff
  • Review designs for compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and best practices
  • Participate in project planning, client meetings, and overall project execution
  • Support projects throughout both design and construction phases

Benefits

  • Base Salary Depending on Experience: $110,000–$145,000
