About The Position

RQ Construction, LLC is looking for a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our expanding Structural Engineering team based in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in the structural design and analysis of complex projects, primarily supporting Department of Defense construction programs. Responsibilities include performing structural calculations, creating CAD models, and reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with safety and design specifications. Additionally, you will lead teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain project schedules and quality standards. This position also offers leadership opportunities through team coordination, technical oversight, and project management support, all while contributing to the Mission, Vision, and Values of RQ. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering design, or equivalent in industrial construction projects required
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, RISA, Revit, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to travel to project sites as necessary
  • All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
