About The Position

This is a senior engineering position offering a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in structural engineering, providing an excellent opportunity to advance your career. You will collaborate with a team of structural engineers, interface with engineers from other disciplines, and guide the work of less experienced project team members. The role involves working with a structural engineering team on projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades/modifications to nuclear power plants. You will apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design across a wide range of client projects. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design calculations, developing specifications, and supporting designers with drawing development. You will utilize state-of-the-art computer tools to perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment and piping supports, and foundations, including analyses for loading conditions such as wind and seismic. There is potential for travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs. This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office work 3 days per week.

Requirements

BS degree Structural/Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
5 or more years of experience working as a member of a project team in the design and analysis of structures
Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS
Familiarity with design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

MSCE degree
Experience with design and analysis of power plant and/or industrial structures
On site construction support experience
PE or SE license
Overseeing engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate engineering tasks, with review of automated outputs
Additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields that enables effective oversight of automation and agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows

Responsibilities
