We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our specialized team focused on hydroelectric facilities and dam engineering. The successful candidate will participate in multidisciplinary projects with leading industry stakeholders and benefit from a flexible hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work and office presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Minimum 15 years of experience in design, construction and project management of dams and hydroelectric projects
- Membership - Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO)
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Versatility and interest in diverse engineering projects
- Autonomy, initiative, and strong teamwork skills
- Be able to do site visits and traveling (20%)
Nice To Haves
- Post Graduate degree is an asset
- Experience is seismic engineering and dynamic analysis of structures is an asset
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership, Project management, Business development and client relationship building
- Technical coordination and project management across disciplines
- Design and rehabilitation of hydroelectric stations
- Engineering of hydraulic structures (buildings, dams, spillways, gate lifting mechanisms, intakes, etc.)
- Structural and Stability calculations
- Feasibility studies, preliminary designs, details designs and technical assessments
- Dam safety reviews and risk assessments
- Inspections of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric facilities
- Preparation of technical drawings and specifications
- Analysis of construction methods and cost estimation
- Technical support during construction, both remotely and on-site
- Collaboration with engineering and technical teams
