We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our specialized team focused on hydroelectric facilities and dam engineering. The successful candidate will participate in multidisciplinary projects with leading industry stakeholders and benefit from a flexible hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work and office presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in design, construction and project management of dams and hydroelectric projects
  • Membership - Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO)
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Versatility and interest in diverse engineering projects
  • Autonomy, initiative, and strong teamwork skills
  • Be able to do site visits and traveling (20%)

Nice To Haves

  • Post Graduate degree is an asset
  • Experience is seismic engineering and dynamic analysis of structures is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership, Project management, Business development and client relationship building
  • Technical coordination and project management across disciplines
  • Design and rehabilitation of hydroelectric stations
  • Engineering of hydraulic structures (buildings, dams, spillways, gate lifting mechanisms, intakes, etc.)
  • Structural and Stability calculations
  • Feasibility studies, preliminary designs, details designs and technical assessments
  • Dam safety reviews and risk assessments
  • Inspections of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric facilities
  • Preparation of technical drawings and specifications
  • Analysis of construction methods and cost estimation
  • Technical support during construction, both remotely and on-site
  • Collaboration with engineering and technical teams
