This is a senior engineering position within Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group, offering challenging opportunities in structural engineering for new nuclear facilities and upgrades/modifications to existing nuclear power plants. The role involves collaborating with structural engineers and other disciplines, and guiding less experienced team members. Responsibilities include applying knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design. The engineer will prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, support drawing development, and guide others in engineering deliverables. The position utilizes state-of-the-art computer tools for structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations. There is potential for travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and plant sites for construction coordination and field verification.
