This is a senior engineering position offering diverse and challenging opportunities in structural engineering, providing an excellent chance for career advancement. The role involves collaborating with a team of structural engineers, interfacing with engineers from other disciplines, and guiding less experienced project team members. The engineer will work on projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades/modifications to existing nuclear power plants, applying knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design calculations, developing specifications, and supporting drawing development. The position requires using state-of-the-art computer tools for structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment and piping supports, and foundations, as well as conducting structural analyses for loading conditions like wind and seismic. There is potential for travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification. This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office work 3 days per week.
