Senior Structural Design Engineer
About The Position
STV currently has openings for Senior Structural Design Engineer in our Transportation group based in our Empire State Building office in New York, NY. We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Structural/Bridge who is an expert in the field, who uses professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues. This individual will be responsible to perform design of new bridges and rehabilitation of bridges, quality assurance, mentor entry level staff. The work will include highway bridges, railroad bridges, and transportation facilities structures in New York. Primary responsibilities will include: Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities. Participating on Design Build Projects and Pursuits Perform Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications. Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD Review of construction phase submittals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE is required
- A minimum of 5 plus years of experience
- Knowledge of New York agencies and projects: NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDCC, Port Authority of NY
- Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Master's degree is preferred
