About The Position

The Senior Strategy Analyst provides analytical, process, and project leadership for strategic initiatives across DLB's Design Department. This role works closely with department leadership to independently lead analyses, develop reporting and dashboards, improve processes, build executive-level presentations, and support implementation of department priorities across strategy, talent, and partnerships. Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategy & Growth, the Senior Strategy Analyst will take guidance and greater ownership over how an analysis or deliverable is structured. Success in this role requires intellectual curiosity, strong analytical judgment, the ability to work through ambiguity, and the ability to translate ideas and business problems into clear, decision-ready deliverables.

Requirements

  • B.A. / B.S. degree in engineering, business, finance, economics, data analytics, information systems, construction management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in strategy, consulting, business analytics, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting quantitative analyses and developing recommendations from business data.
  • Demonstrated experience developing professional presentations, analytical models, dashboards, or business reporting required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience within the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry, or supporting senior leadership on cross-functional initiatives, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently structure and lead quantitative and qualitative analyses in support of departmental strategic priorities.
  • Gather, organize, and synthesize information from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Break down ambiguous or loosely defined business problems into logical analyses and workstreams.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear observations, implications, and recommended solutions for leadership.
  • Develop business cases, forecasts, and scenario analyses in support of strategic decisions.
  • Provide analytical guidance and quality review for work produced by junior analysts on shared initiatives.
  • Document and map current-state business processes and lead development of future-state workflows.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to identify process pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Build process maps, templates, trackers, and workflows to support new and improved processes.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, repositories, and other department collaboration tools.
  • Implement and draft documentation of new processes, systems, and tools.
  • Identify and pilot opportunities to use Power BI, SharePoint, automation, and AI tools to reduce manual work.
  • Support planning, coordination, and tracking of strategic initiatives across the Design Department.
  • Maintain initiative plans, milestones, action items, dashboards, and status reporting.
  • Develop clear, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations and materials for leadership and executive audiences.
  • Translate analyses, processes, and business concepts into structured frameworks and presentation materials with minimal direction.
  • Gather and synthesize input from stakeholders to support leadership discussions and decision-making.
  • Support preparation and follow-up for strategic planning sessions, leadership meetings, and workshops.
  • Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned.
