Senior Strategy Analyst

Jm Test SystemsBaton Rouge, LA

About The Position

JM Test Systems is hiring a Senior Strategy Analyst to serve as a thought partner to our executive and commercial teams. This role owns the questions that shape where the business goes next — where our growth is coming from, which customers and service lines deserve more investment, what our markets and competitors are telling us, and what we should do differently as a result. We're looking for someone who isn't satisfied producing a report. You'll take ambiguous business questions, structure them, get to the honest answer, form a point of view, and help drive the decision. You'll work cross-functionally on questions that shape go-to-market strategy, capital allocation, and strategic priorities, and you'll present your work directly to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • 2+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, FP&A, or commercial/growth analytics
  • A track record of structured problem solving — taking an ambiguous question and producing an answer that changed a decision or delivered a measurable result
  • Strong commercial instinct and genuine curiosity about how a business operates and grows
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward a defensible answer quickly, rather than a perfect one eventually
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint; fluency with Claude or other LLM tools; R, Python, or BI platform experience a plus
  • Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce) and familiarity with sales/marketing automation tools (Apollo.io, Clay, Klaviyo)
  • Financial fluency — comfortable with P&L mechanics, margin analysis, and basic valuation concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to run multiple workstreams with limited direction

Responsibilities

  • Structure open-ended business questions into analyses that produce a clear recommendation. Own the "so what," not just the data.
  • Identify and quantify revenue opportunities across accounts, segments, geographies, and service lines. Partner with Sales leadership to shape go-to-market priorities.
  • Own the analytics behind commercial performance, automating recurring reporting so your time goes toward analysis that changes decisions.
  • Build forecasting models to flag at-risk accounts, high-potential prospects, and leading indicators.
  • Turn complex analysis into clear narratives for leadership, building the recurring materials the business runs on.
  • Maintain an outside-in view of our markets, competitors, and customer demand signals.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate commercial performance of newly acquired companies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure clean, reliable data, and use AI/LLM tooling to build self-service tools for Sales and Marketing.
  • Analyze profitability by customer, service line, and contract to inform pricing and mix decisions.

Benefits

  • Stable, full-time employment
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • HSA with employer contribution
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick time, and major holidays
  • Opportunities for growth within the organization
