About The Position

As a Strategic Tender Manager at AIT, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the international tender process from initiation to completion. You will work closely with various departments, including sales, operations, and legal, to develop competitive and strategic tender proposals that align with the company's objectives and contribute to its growth and success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required or
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 5-7 years Tender management and/or pricing experience in all Global Products Required
  • Advanced knowledge of MS business suite/TMS/AS 400. (High proficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand estimates, accounting ledgers, spec sheets and pro forma financial statements. Ability to analyze and manage P&L. (High proficiency)
  • Excellent math skills and accuracy in pricing by segment cost and roll up costs. (High proficiency)
  • Understand rates, ratios, percentages, gross and nets, sales markups, margins and related computations. (High proficiency)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a Global Culture . (High proficiency)
  • Ability to build and explain complex spreadsheet models and logistics strategy to internal and external customers . (High proficiency)

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and Planning: Lead the tender process, ensuring that all necessary documents, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, are thoroughly reviewed, and that key milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather information and data required for tender submissions, including sales, finance, legal, and subject matter experts.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and issues related to tender submissions and develop mitigation plans to ensure the company's interests are protected.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget for each tender opportunity, ensuring cost-effectiveness in the preparation and submission of proposals.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the development and writing of high-quality tender proposals, ensuring they meet all requirements and convey the company's value proposition effectively.
  • Negotiation and Presentation: Represent the company in negotiations with clients or government agencies during the tender process. Prepare and deliver presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all tender submissions are fully compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Win/Loss Analysis: Analyze the outcomes of tenders to identify areas of improvement and lessons learned to enhance future strategies.
  • Supplier and Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to strengthen the company's tendering capabilities.
