About The Position

As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Honeywell Aerospace, you will drive procurement of materials and services in alignment with business guidance. You will establish and execute procurement strategies to achieve the lowest total cost, reduce working capital, and ensure supply continuity. The role drives commodity and category supply strategies, manages supplier performance, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. You will identify cost-saving opportunities, implement value engineering initiatives, and eliminate sole or single sources. The position reports to the Director Strategic Sourcing and is based at either the Phoenix, Arizona, or Tempe, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. Applicants must be U.S. persons and authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance.
Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Excel.
Must be a U.S. person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or a person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

Extensive experience in sourcing and procurement.
Experience working and/or guiding in matrix and complex team environments.
Project management and/or contract management experience.
Professional certifications in Project Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Contract Management.
Team guidance experience in Supply Management, Sourcing, Procurement, or Business.
Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
Experience with SAP, e-sourcing platforms, request-for-quotation tools, and project management.
Master's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration.

Responsibilities

Drive and execute the Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies.
Lead critical supplier recoveries by mobilizing cross-functional teams, resolving capacity and execution constraints, reducing past-due orders, and restoring On-Time to Request performance.
Execute strategies to align with business growth and new product introductions.
Manage category and commodity strategies, including spend analysis, benchmarking, cost and market analysis, and global technology and economic trends.
Build relationships with key supplier leadership.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance, Quality, and other Honeywell businesses.
Lead supplier selection, RFQ and RFI processes, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance processes.
Apply supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supply continuity.
Improve working capital through payment-term extensions, payment-cycle optimization, vendor-managed inventories, and inventory and lead-time reductions.
