About The Position

Intel's Global IT organization is seeking an experienced Senior Strategic IT Portfolio Manager to lead portfolio planning, prioritization, governance, and execution across a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives. The role serves as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, driving investment decisions, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring technology programs deliver measurable business value. The manager will establish portfolio governance processes, provide executive-level insights into portfolio performance, and influence strategic decisions supporting Intel's technology transformation objectives. Success requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, stakeholder management skills, and effectiveness in a highly matrixed environment. As part of the Enterprise and Technology Transformation Business Operations group, the role partners with technology, finance, and business stakeholders to drive portfolio optimization, strategic planning, governance excellence, and business outcomes across enterprise-wide IT investments. The Global IT organization enables Intel's business through innovative technology solutions, operational excellence, and strategic transformation initiatives. The role offers an opportunity to influence strategic technology investment decisions across Intel, work directly with executive leadership and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, and significantly affect prioritization, funding, governance, and delivery of technology programs. The position is eligible for Intel's hybrid work model, splitting time between an assigned Intel site and off-site work. The position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of experience in portfolio management, financial management, strategic planning, or business operations.
Experience with portfolio management software and tools, including the ability to analyze data and present actionable insights.
Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management principles.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Data-driven decision-making skills.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in matrixed environments.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
Continuous improvement mindset and interest in operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience, or a PhD with at least 3 years of experience.
Experience working in technology-driven environments or supporting IT initiatives.
Proven track record of implementing prioritization frameworks and optimization techniques.
Certification in portfolio management, such as PfMP or an equivalent program.
Experience with Intel tools and systems.

Responsibilities

Build predictive resource, financial, and timeline models to simulate the impact of strategy changes, budget shifts, or project delays.
Manage intake, evaluation, and prioritization of IT initiatives to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
Analyze resource utilization and demand across the portfolio to optimize allocation and identify constraints.
Track and mitigate cross-project dependencies, critical path items, and portfolio-level risks.
Monitor and report on the overall health, milestones, budget performance, and value delivery of active IT projects.
Establish portfolio governance processes and provide executive-level insights into portfolio performance.
Partner with technology, finance, and business stakeholders to drive portfolio optimization, strategic planning, governance excellence, and business outcomes.
