About The Position

Audiohook is a fast-growing technology company transforming the way brands connect with audiences through audio. We build innovative tools that help advertisers reach listeners across streaming platforms, podcasts, and emerging audio channels. As we scale, we're looking for a Senior Strategic Account Executive who thrives in a dynamic, fully remote environment.
You'll carry your own quota and run full-cycle, consultative sales with sophisticated marketers and senior decision-makers, and you'll also help other Account Executives get better at their jobs, sharpening their discovery, deal structuring, and technical conversations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, performance marketing, ad tech, martech, affiliate marketing, or a closely related field, with significant responsibility for generating and closing new business.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex, consultative sales cycles from prospecting through signature, including discovery, solution development, proposal creation, negotiation, and close.
• Proven success selling to sophisticated marketers and senior decision-makers, including VP, C-suite, agency, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of performance marketing and customer acquisition, including how channels such as paid social, paid search, affiliate, programmatic media, and other performance channels fit within a broader marketing strategy.
• Experience with attribution, measurement, and conversion tracking concepts, with the ability to confidently discuss pixels or JavaScript tags, server-to-server integrations, APIs, conversion events, attribution methodologies, and measurement limitations with both marketing and technical stakeholders.
• Experience developing customized proposals, business cases, or commercial solutions rather than relying exclusively on standardized products, rate cards, or prebuilt sales packages.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose a prospective client's business and marketing environment, identify whether a solution is appropriate, and recommend a thoughtful campaign or commercial structure based on the client's objectives and constraints.
• Experience carrying and achieving a revenue quota or equivalent new-business target, with clear evidence of personally sourcing, advancing, negotiating, and closing meaningful deals.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technically complex concepts clearly and credibly to nontechnical audiences.
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical, product, operations, client success, or implementation teams to ensure what is sold can be successfully implemented and delivered.

Nice To Haves

• Experience informally mentoring, coaching, or onboarding other salespeople, even without formal management authority.
• Experience selling into subscription businesses, eCommerce brands, lead generation businesses, or other performance-focused advertisers.
• Familiarity with affiliate networks, partnership marketing, and marketing technology platforms.
• Experience working at an early-stage or high-growth company where individual contributors regularly shape process, not just execute it.

Responsibilities

• Own your own pipeline and quota. Source, develop, and close new business with enterprise and agency-level marketers.
• Run full sales cycles start to finish: discovery, solution development, proposals, negotiation, and close.
• Understand each prospect's business and marketing setup well enough to know whether Audiohook is a fit, and if so, build a campaign or deal structure around their specific goals rather than a standard package.
• Talk comfortably with both marketers and technical teams about attribution, conversion tracking, pixels, server-to-server integrations, and APIs.
• Put together proposals and business cases tailored to each client, not boilerplate.
• Work with Product, Client Success, Operations, and Engineering to make sure what you sell can actually be delivered.
• Informally mentor other Account Executives on deals when it's useful, sharing feedback on discovery, proposals, and technical conversations.
