About The Position

The Store Planner 1- MIRC is responsible for managing and maintaining the logistics of receiving and planning of category test sets. Responsible for record keeping and accurate inventory management fixtures merchandise received. Plan and manage the weekly and monthly activity of the facility. Store Planner will also be Responsible for the creative development of floor/fixture plans to drive new store growth, remodels and program rollouts. The Store Planner is responsible to develop conceptual designs for presentations to executives as well as store-specific detailed floor/fixture plans ready to delivery to Architects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 2-3 years of experience in retail schematics, inventory management and/or merchandising.
  • Understand Schematic software and the ability to provide support and feedback to schematic decisions
  • Basic computer knowledge and literacy must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • RELEX-Floor and Schematic knowledge
  • CAD, Bluebeam and Adobe for floor planning
  • General Receiving skills and inventory management skills
  • Ability to make basic fixture adjustments
  • Input Workday fixture orders as needed for the MIRC Center within budget.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with other team members
  • Ability to think critically and use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, approaches, and conclusions to problems
  • Mobile, able to stand up to 8 hours per day
  • Able to lift boxes/equipment up to 80 lbs
  • Basic tool knowledge
  • Can follow directions to build and install fixtures
  • Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Must be able to work flexible hours depending on company needs

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the operations of the MIRC Center
  • Plans, manages and organizes Test Sets and Test Equipment and evaluates effectiveness to make recommendations for future rollouts.
  • Coordinate, maintain, communicate merchandise set room schedule. Determine schedule changes as necessarywith Schematics, Format and Merchandising to coordinate events
  • Creates, develops and implements operations’ process and procedures documents for the MIRC Center
  • Manages the P&L lines to maintain spending lines to budget. Achieve impact to future store enhancements to achieve IRR of MIRC Center.
  • Evaluate testing process and make recommendations to stakeholders across the business for improved operations and coordination.
  • Analyze and make recommendations of test schematics and FF&E test fixtures post rollout
  • Manage the flow of product in and out of the facility, both food products and fixtures & equipment
  • Manage flow and coordination of product for test sets.
  • Manage and recommend MIRC floor plans based on calendar. Update fixture plans to reflect upcoming tests.
  • Manage Jr. Floor planning functions for specific retail test projects.
  • Assist in coordinating sales initiatives across the chain. Planning, scheduling, and coordination with 3rd party suppliers
  • Recommendations for value engineering of fixtures to achieve FF&E savings goals.
  • Communicate timing and expectations for merchant participants to develop and execute the process and procedures.
  • Manage working space for cleanliness and safety guidelines
  • Responsible for managing security and visitor guidelines
  • Inventory management of all merchandise entering and exiting the warehouse
  • Develop fixture plans for assigned store projects using AutoCAD, Revit and RELEX Floor planning
  • Develops “what if” scenarios for feasibility plans for potential remodels or new locations
  • Ensures proper and efficient use of FF&E (fixtures, fittings, and equipment) within store designs based on strategy and store size
  • Partners effectively and collaborates with architects, construction, and merchandising teams for space optimization and to drive strategy
