About The Position

This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Nisga'a Tek is committed to high-quality service to those who defend us, ensuring mission assurance and execution for customers and warfighters. The Senior Storage Engineer will be part of the data center support group, tasked with configuring SAN/NAS systems, managing backup solutions, and maintaining the security of the data center. This includes monitoring and providing daily support to ensure the health and availability of IT systems/infrastructure, both on premises and for cloud-based programs and applications. Responsibilities will involve planning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and managing all Storage servers and applications. The role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing an organization's data storage systems, working with networks, databases, and other high-capacity systems. Performs a variety of tasks and may lead and direct the work of others. Support IT Supply Technician as assigned.

Requirements

Skills include VMWare vSphere, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies and applications, and Active Directory.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ Yrs of EXP -or- Substitute with AA/AS with 7+ Yrs of EXP -or- Substitute with 9+ Yrs of EXP serving as storage engineer.
IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification & applicable CE/OS Certification.
Experience with SAN technologies in a highly virtualized and converged environment and maintaining a high availability datacenter.
