About The Position

The Senior Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Medford Medical Center is a full-time role with an evening schedule. The Tech-Sterile Processing 2 is responsible for the effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, proper sterilization, and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. This role involves collaboration with other departments to ensure the availability of necessary supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for surgical cases and other procedures requiring sterile items. Requirements

  • Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
  • Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
  • Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
  • 3 years Recent sterile processing experience.
  • Experience using personal computer and basic software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, proper sterilization, and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are available for surgical cases and other procedures requiring sterile supplies and/or instrumentation.
