Senior Sterile Processing Technician Per Diem - Providence Anchorage
About The Position
We are hiring for a Senior Sterile Processing Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska! This is a per diem position with 0.01 FTE, a variable shift, and hours as needed. The role is responsible for the cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and equipment. The technician also prepares Operating Room case carts, serves as a department expert for a designated service line, and functions as a preceptor and resource to new SPD staff. They collaborate with OR Team Leaders and House Department management to make changes to instrument sets, provide annual inservices to SPD staff on service line-related topics, and assist the Instrument Inventory Coordinator with service line instrumentation. The position may also involve filling in as a Shift Lead SPD Technician as needed. Requirements
- Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
- Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
- 2 years of Experience in sterile processing.
Responsibilities
