About The Position

We’re hiring a Senior / Staff Solutions Architect Engineer to join Healthie’s Engineering team. In this role, you’ll work directly with some of Healthie’s most strategic and technically complex customers, designing and building solutions on top of Healthie’s extensible platform. You’ll operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success—solving high-impact problems in real-world healthcare environments. As a Solutions Architect Engineer, you’ll serve as a technical partner to customers from problem definition through implementation. You’ll diagnose complex technical and workflow challenges, architect scalable solutions, build production-grade integrations and features, and help evolve the platform to make future solutions faster and more repeatable. This is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering role—not a support role. You’ll write production code, influence platform direction, and help shape how Healthie scales across diverse healthcare organizations and operational workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Solutions Engineering, and leadership teams to ensure our customers can successfully operationalize Healthie in complex clinical and business environments. At the Senior and Staff level, the role expands beyond individual customer engagements. You’ll identify systemic patterns across implementations, improve internal tooling and deployment workflows, contribute to platform architecture, and help define best practices for scalable customer delivery. You’ll also play a key role in influencing how Healthie evolves its APIs, extensibility model, and implementation strategy over time. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy: owning ambiguous, high-impact technical problems end-to-end, working directly with customers and operators, building zero-to-one solutions quickly, balancing pragmatism with long-term platform thinking, and operating with high autonomy across engineering and product boundaries. At Healthie, we actively use AI-assisted development workflows and tooling. We’re looking for engineers who thoughtfully leverage modern AI tools to increase engineering velocity, improve quality, and automate repetitive work.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in highly technical, customer-facing roles within a consultancy or platform-based company (Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Engineering Consultant, Implementation Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer).
  • Experience with Rails, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, Sidekiq, RSpec, and Capybara.
  • Comfortable acting as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering teams, helping diagnose complex issues, guide implementations, and translate customer workflows into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong technical generalist with the ability to go deep when needed.
  • Strong product-sense.
  • Experience with APIs and zero-to-one full-stack development.
  • Deep pride and care in your work.
  • Excellent communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and self-directed; comfortable owning problems end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated by working closely with customers while solving complex technical problems and improving how the platform operates in real-world environments.
  • Thoughtfully leverage modern AI tools to increase engineering velocity, improve quality, and automate repetitive work.
  • U.S. work authorization is required.
