About The Position

The Senior Staff Software Engineer will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for architecting and implementing complex software solutions, driving technical excellence, and providing guidance on major engineering projects. This role will help shape the technical roadmap and strategy, lead the design and implementation of critical software components and systems, and support the development and maintenance of complex applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of professional experience and/or training required.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Java, Python, Swift, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Proficiency in multiple technologies and database platforms.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of cloud-based development tools and processes.
  • Proven experience designing critical applications that interact with several other internal and external systems.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the software development process in a distributed team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proven team player who can mentor other technical members of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical feasibility assessments and product evaluations based on business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team in design finalization, code reviews, production support, and maintenance issue resolution.
  • Lead the design and implementation of critical software components and systems.
  • Mentor technical members of the team.
  • Contribute to the development of coding standards, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute the technical roadmap.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive technical innovation.
  • Support significant engineering ownership of complex applications, including design and development of new features, improvements to existing code, code release, deployment, and application maintenance.
