About The Position

MoonPay Enterprise is seeking backend engineers for several openings. This is a high-standards, high-velocity, high-accountability company building the operating system for value movement, focusing on crypto, stablecoins, tokenized assets, and future innovations. The Enterprise division specifically builds the fund layer for businesses, powering stablecoin movement for enterprises, fintechs, PSPs, wallets, and marketplaces. The goal is to make moving real money at scale predictable and compliant for CFOs. AI is integrated into all roles to handle manual work, allowing focus on impactful tasks. Requirements

5+ years of backend engineering experience (8+ for Staff), with a track record of shipping and operating production systems at scale.
Strong backend experience with a statically compiled language (e.g. Rust, Go, C#, C++) is a must.
Solid fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, data modeling, and asynchronous processing.
Comfort working in domains where precision matters, such as financial systems, double-entry ledgers, reconciliation, or similarly correctness-critical software.
A pragmatic, autonomous, ownership-driven mindset.
Strong critical thinking, including in how you use AI tools.
Interest in crypto, stablecoins, and the future of payments.
Prior professional Rust experience is not required, but interest in Rust and motivation to become an expert in it are very welcome.

Nice To Haves

Prior professional Rust experience.
Prior crypto experience.
Professional or hobby experience writing Rust (open-source contributions count!).
Experience in fiat payments, banking integrations, card networks, or PSPs.
Familiarity with KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening, or regulated financial products (Track 1).
Background in custody, key management (MPC/HSM), or institutional-grade security (Track 2).
Smart contract development in Solidity (EVM) or Rust (Solana), and experience with on-chain indexing or node infrastructure (Track 3).
Experience working in regulated, multi-jurisdiction environments.
Prior Solana (Rust) or Solidity development experience is a strong plus for Track 3.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate backend services written in Rust that process high volumes of financial transactions with strong guarantees around correctness, idempotency, and auditability.
Own features end to end, from shaping the product spec through technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
Help define product direction and propose work considered most useful as a domain expert.
Integrate with external partners such as banks, payment processors, blockchains, and identity and compliance vendors, and build the abstractions that make those integrations reliable.
Improve engineering quality across observability, incident response, security practices, and API design.
Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and other engineering teams across MoonPay’s global network.
Set technical direction for your area, mentor other engineers, and drive architectural decisions that span multiple teams (Staff level).
