Senior/Staff Software Engineer with C++ - Drivers, Diagnostic, & Embedded Software (San Diego, CA)
About The Position
You have the opportunity to work on the development of Intravascular Ultrasound Systems. As a member of a cross-functional team, you will work closely together with electrical engineers, transducer engineers, software engineers, system engineers, and ultrasound engineers. Your role: Being a key contributor to the development of medical capital equipment Architect, design, and develop driver, diagnostic, and embedded software for intravascular ultrasound systems. Interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of marketing, hardware, software, catheter design, and manufacturing to refine design requirements for next generation intravascular ultrasound devices. Create software requirement specifications, software architecture documents, and detailed software design documents. Design, develop, and debug driver software and embedded software to implement communication between hardware and application software using C++.
Requirements
- 8 + years of experience in software/embedded software development, preferably in the field of medical electronics.
- Experienced with object-oriented programming languages design, and coding. (Strong C++ is required).
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- Gained industry experience creating detailed design documentation (specifications, design descriptions, verification and testing plans).
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of digital signal and image processing
- Knowledge of CUDA with such applications
