About The Position

Scout Motors is looking for a Software Engineer to build Android/AOSP/AAOS apps, frameworks, and SDKs that deliver a seamless, Scout-branded HMI experience. The infotainment apps are the digital heart of their vehicles, powering navigation, EV charging, media, HVAC, cameras, voice, connectivity, and vehicle controls.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years Android app development
• 10+ years software development
• Expertise in Android OS, AOSP/AAOS, Kotlin/Java, and embedded app design
• Pragmatic problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and drives high-quality solutions
• Excellent communicator and collaborator with a focus on quality and impact
• Integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset
• Comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Kotlin/Java Android apps and frameworks for infotainment
• Deliver features quickly using test-driven development
• Collaborate with UX, product, instrument cluster, and mobile teams to ensure end-to-end quality
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and team best practices
